Chaos erupted in San Bernardino when reckless driving by two individuals put a crowd in danger and led to a pursuit by the county sheriff’s deputies. The incident occurred late Saturday night, around 10:16 p.m., at Hospitality Lane and Tippecanoe Avenue, as police observed a gathering of roughly 200 vehicles in a business parking lot that should've been empty at the hour.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Office said deputies spotted 25-year-old Riverside resident Diego Espinoza exiting the lot at dangerous speeds in his silver BMW, nearly losing control and endangering nearby pedestrians. An attempt to halt Espinoza was met with interference from onlookers blocking the way of the patrol unit. According to the sheriff's department’s report, 18-year-old Francisco Trujillo from San Bernardino was seen pulling a similar stunt, leading deputies on a chase after failing to comply with a traffic stop.

Both suspects were arrested and booked on several charges, with Espinoza facing consequences for reckless driving in accordance with the California Vehicle Code (CVC) 23103, and Trujillo for evading law enforcement under CVC 2800.2. Their vehicles were seized and towed away from the scene as part of the ongoing investigation.
